I love visiting Arizona and one of my favorite things to do is spend a day with Dan and Cj. It’s fun to revisit friends and Star Trek, re-watching an episode I usually forgot about it — and then we get to talk about it, along with my trip and what’s new.

This episode, Love Long and Prosper #137, is particularly funny — especially its title. We had lots of laughs and talked mostly about Trek. I’m so glad that I can participate on this fun podcast with good friends during my semi-annual pilgrimages to Phoenix.

It’s become a tradition that every time I visit the Phoenix area, I watch an episode of Star Trek with Dan and Cj, and then appear on their podcast. We have our usual fun in Love Long and Prosper #128: episode analysis, banter, and a recap of everything that’s happened in our lives since the last podcast.

And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Love Long and Prosper #111

I spent Easter Sunday in the company of Dan and Cj, their family, and friends. Of course, that evening we had to watch Star Trek and record an episode of their couplecast. They worked out the calendar and saved the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode when Tasha Yar dies just for me — so we could review this episode and savor this moment together.

As always, we had a fantastic time talking Trek and the usual nonsense that accompanies having the three of us together in one place. Love Long and Prosper #111 is another hilarious romp of good friends in great company — an experience enhanced all the more by the death of Yar.

Love Long and Prosper #102

My trips to the Phoenix area have become more frequent, so it’s become a tradition that I make a guest appearance on my favorite Star Trek couplecast.

On Love Long and Prosper #102, we focus on the event upon which my visit revolved: Phoenix Comicon. My unique adventures included playing Rock Band with Wil Wheaton and hanging out with Aaron Douglas (of Battlestar Gallactica fame), among many delicious meals.

I continue to develop a place in the Phoenix social media community and really feel like it’s become a haven away from home.

Love Long and Prosper #95

For the second time in 2008, I made a trek to Arizona. The main event was Podcamp AZ, an excuse to see all of my friends in the Phoenix area and spend lots of time with Dan and Cj. I did a great deal of recording, including many live shows at the Podcast AZ booth, two episodes of Truth Seekers, and Love Long and Prosper #95 along with its dedicated Voicemail Show.

Despite the fact that the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode we reviewed was terrible (a Season 1 episode entitled, “Lonely Among Us), we were still living off the high of Podcamp AZ — a tremendously successful event filled with great people and positive vibes. Put the three of us together in a room and it’s audio magic. I love all of these episodes I record when traveling, since they encapsulate the time and place of special moments in my life.

Love Long and Prosper #95: Voicemail Show

This special episode was actually recorded after Love Long and Prosper #95, but released prior to it. The Voicemail Show probably won’t make a lot of sense without listening to the show itself, but it was particularly hilarious. This is a testament to the fact that we were still able to be entertaining after completing an entire, full episode.

I enjoyed participating in this during my trip to fall trip to Arizona, described in greater detail in my Love Long and Prosper #95 summary.

Love Long and Prosper #80

I made another trek to Arizona to transport myself into the lives of Dan and Cj. This surprisingly marked only my second appearance on a full episode and it’s a memorable one. After viewing Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, we gave our reviews of the film and our time together.

Love Long and Prosper #80 is both humor and alcohol-infused, a late night comedic effort on St. Patrick’s Day that serves as a time capsule into the happenings of March 2008.

Love Long and Prosper #61

My first, long-anticipated appearance on a full-length episode of Love Long and Prosper took place in Episode #61. We had been planning my guest stint around the episode focusing on Star Trek III; this was actually recorded over Skype, and kind of at the last minute, which is always when I find the best work occurs. There was a great energy, and we had a blast, anxious for the forthcoming Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas.

I didn’t think I had time to visit my new podcast friend, Dan, and his wife, Cj, while in Phoenix on business. After convincing me that we must meet, and picking me up at my hotel, I had my first face-to-face meeting with podcasters. This, of course, resulted in us recording a Super Special Bonus Episode!!! This was before I bonded with these Star Trek couplecasters and a time capsule of things to come.
